There are many things that I know I will never know, but that does not deter me from wanting to try and understand the idea of just how much I will never know.

To a Great Basin Bristlecone, 1 human lifetime amounts to nothing more than a terribly insignificant quantity of time.

What can you even learn in 100 years?

Most dont even make it that far but really, what can you learn in a time period that equates to nothing more than a blip when compared to the age of the universe.

Can you conceive infinity?

I can.

Both ways.

For although there maybe many methods of infinite existence or infinite oblivion the key in consciousness.

Awareness, can be argued, also plays a key role in this thought of infinites.

If you were to live forever via rebirth, but you could not retain any of your previous lives experience for whatever reason you want to come up with, I myself think its just due to the brain being an organ that will do anything it can to keep your meat sack comfortable enough to survive. Including erasing harmful memories, or just “useless” ones. Would that be something you called a win?

Or if you were reborn and maintained the memories of the past lives that would mean you would live eternally with all the heart breaks, mistakes, deaths, pleasures, and pains, forever, and you would also be stacking onto all that mess the ones you will surely be seeing in this and the rest of your lives. Is that a win?

Oblivion is odd because the word conveys a sense of consciousness that is missing rather than relying on the entirety of everything to cease existing. I.E. what if living forever meant not being conscious to be aware of death and life? Would that be better?

Is the idea that you only get one go at this madness better than living forever?

What does that idea of a singular death bring to the table?

Would you want to live forever which meant dying after every rebirth or die once and never go through that process again?

Most of you are in a state of oblivion, that is okay, its quieter this way.
